MØ returns with “Hunnybån” / “Fine Curls”. The double single brings emotional closure after “Plæygirl”

MØ’s new release arrived on March 6, 2026 as the double single “Hunnybån” / “Fine Curls”. Both songs were created near the end of work on the album “Plæygirl”, but did not make the final tracklist. MØ emphasizes that she waited a long time for the right moment to release them separately.

MØ described the songs as “two sad love songs, but with very different emotions.” She adds that one of them is about anger after a betrayal that affected someone close to her, while the other captures a tender longing for someone who is gone.

The release came shortly after the artist’s performance in Verona during the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games. The ceremony itself was planned and staged at the Arena di Verona, and agency materials from the event confirm MØ’s appearance on stage with Major Lazer.

This is also MØ’s first new release since her fourth studio album “Plæygirl”, which came out on May 16, 2025. The single is also accompanied by a visualizer for “Hunnybån”, available online and referenced in the artist’s own communication. Rather than adding both songs to the previous album, MØ released them as a separate chapter between the close of the “Plæygirl” era and the next stage of her work.
