Foo Fighters have unveiled the new single “Your Favorite Toy” and immediately raised the bar. It’s the title track from the band’s upcoming 12th studio album, due out on April 24, 2026.
A turning-point narrative has formed around the song. Dave Grohl described the moment the track came together as the spark that set the direction for the rest of the record: “It was the fuse to a powder keg… This sounds fresh.”
The album “Your Favorite Toy” will feature 10 tracks and was made in a home-recording setup. Production is credited jointly to Foo Fighters and Oliver Roman, with mixing by Mark “Spike” Stent. The technical credits also list mastering by Emily Lazar (The Lodge).
A new element this time is the drumming. It’s the band’s first record recorded with Ilan Rubin in the lineup, marking a clear next stage in the story of Foo Fighters.
Alongside the new music came tour announcements. In Poland, the band is set to play Warsaw’s PGE Narodowy on June 15, 2026. Ticket listings also name the evening’s guests: Royel Otis and Otoboke Beaver.
