Tove Styrke has released her new single “Space”. The track arrived on March 20, 2026 as part of the two-song release “Space – Single” under Sony Music Entertainment Sweden AB. On streaming platforms, the single was released together with the earlier track “Prayer”.
The new song is a direct continuation of the artist’s January return. The single was presented as the follow-up to “Prayer” and, at the same time, another piece leading toward the album “The Afterparty”, which is set for release in fall 2026. The artist herself connects “Space” with the experience of meditation and an attempt to capture the feeling of smallness in the face of the vastness of the world.
In terms of sound, “Space” is said to begin in a sparse, meditative way before gradually expanding into something much bigger and fuller. According to official information, both the single and the upcoming album were recorded without samples, using analog synthesizers from the 1970s and 1980s, as well as live drums and bass. This is important because it shows that the new phase in Tove Styrke’s work is not based solely on a shift in mood, but also on a clear production aesthetic.
The single’s release is accompanied by an official music video. According to the press materials, Tove Styrke co-directed it with Natalie Olenheim Boija, and the visual was conceived in ultra-macro and slow motion, showing the body as if it were a landscape suspended in space. It is a coherent extension of the motif already placed at the center by the song’s title itself.
The release also brought confirmation of the first concert connected to the “The Afterparty” era. Following the album’s fall release, Tove Styrke is set to perform on November 20, 2026 at Värmeverket in Stockholm, with ticket sales announced by Luger for March 25. At this point, it is the clearest confirmed live date tied to the new material.
