Tori Amos has announced the release of her new studio album, “In Times of Dragons”. The record is set to arrive on May 1, 2026 via Fontana – a label revived within the Universal Music Group structure.
“In Times of Dragons” – a political metaphor told the Tori Amos way
The new release is described as another chapter in Tori Amos’ signature storytelling, blending the personal with social commentary. In the press release, the artist emphasizes that the album operates on a metaphorical level and responds to today’s political tensions:
“In Times of Dragons is a metaphorical story about the fight for Democracy over Tyranny, reflecting the current abhorrent non accidental burning down of democracy in real time by the ‘Dictator believing Lizard Demons’”.
Industry media note that “In Times of Dragons” will be Tori Amos’ 18th studio album and the follow-up to 2021’s “Ocean to Ocean”.
The cover artwork and its backstory
Alongside the release date, the album cover was also revealed. The photo shoot was handled by photographer Kasia Woźniak, and the artwork was reportedly created using traditional methods and an RA-4 darkroom process. Here’s how the cover’s creator describes the work:
“Each photograph was slowly composed, photographed, and processed. It felt magical to weave Tori’s work and vision with my own. We moved from photograph to photograph with an intuitive rhythm, aligned in every shot. The process became a kind of ritual”
Tori adds:
“To work with Kasia and Stylist Karen Binns to bring the story and characters to life was a truly moving experience. Seeing our collaborations come to life, with them and the whole team will live with me forever.”

Tour plans – including a show in Poland
The release of “In Times of Dragons” is tied to an extensive touring schedule. A European tour has been confirmed for April and May 2026, followed by a summer tour across the United States.
For Polish fans, the key date is May 12, 2026 – a Warsaw show at COS Torwar.
